Have MAD day every day.  Now what is a MAD day? 

M is for Making a contribution

A is to Achieve something and

D is for Doing something fun every day. 

Let’s start with M – Making a Contribution.  Make a contribution to something outside yourself every day.  This could be doing something nice for someone else, caring for an animal or doing something for the planet.  Research tells us that the biggest loader onto happiness is to make a contribution to something outside yourself. 

Second, A is for Achievement.  Do something every day where you feel you have achieved something, no matter how small this is.  This also loads onto overall wellbeing as we feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. 

And finally, the D is to do something Fun every single day of your life.  Again no matter how small do something purely pleasurable for you.  Just for you, not for anyone else.

If you do these three things in one day, you will almost certainly have a great day.
If you do these things every day for a week or a month you’re going to have a fabulous week and an amazing month.
And if you do these things every day for the rest of your life you are going to have an extraordinary and happy life.

Let’s get MAD!
